2 broke girls in ny and 1 broke girl here

since makeup class is over and i'm mostly staying at home, i spent my day either reading a book, reading other people's blogs and watching tv.

i saw the trailer of this new series in etc and my former housemate yuan (who is in singapore now) said that i should download 2 broke girls because it is such a laugh trip to watch this.

so yesterday i downloaded the episodes and couldn't stop watching.

  

this series is about 2 waitresses in their early twenties -- Max (Kat Dennings from Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist), who comes from a working class family, and Caroline (Beth Behrs), who was born rich but now penniless because her father embezzled money from other people which lead to freezing all their properties and is now in jail -- both working together in a brooklyn restaurant.

Max make this awesome cupcakes and Caroline having a degree in business, dream of one day opening a cupcake shop for which they need to raise $250,000. 

i love kat's character here. sarcastic, tough, dead inside.

and caroline is an optimistic, cheerful despite her misfortune, completely opposite of max.
